Aimee Zimmerman fell asleep in death on April 14, 2024 in Palo Alto, Ca. surrounded by her family after a brief and unexpected illness, she was 39. Aimee was born in San Jose Ca. and raised in Mountain View, Ca. She later moved to Pleasanton and then Livermore, the birthplace of her father, grandmother and many more ancestors. Aimee followed in her grandmother Alice's footsteps and graduated from Amador Valley High school in Pleasanton, Ca. She then went on to become a licensed cosmetologist. Aimee had a passion for the outdoors, she loved to turn a patch of dirt into a blossoming garden. She was also a song writer/composer and musician. She played many instruments but her favorite was the piano which she played daily. She was also extremely intelligent and loved studying physics and astronomy. Aimee is survived by her son Peyton Detlefsen of Pleasanton, Ca; father Ron Zimmerman; mother Deborah Zimmerman, both of Livermore, Ca; sister Tanya Zimmerman of Lexington, Ky; niece Taylor Howell and nephew Micah Howell, both of Lexington Ky; grandparents Gary and Carole Cherry of Hollister Ca. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins. She is preceded in death by her grandfather Don Webb, grandfather Charles Zimmerman and grandmother Alice Zimmerman. All who knew Aimee will miss her beautiful smile and cheerful laugh, along with her generosity and kind heart.
