Catherine Anne Templeman
Oct. 29, 1953-June 16, 2022
Pleasanton, California

Catherine Anne Templeman (Allen) peacefully passed away on June 16, 2022 after a brief illness.

Cathy was born on October 29, 1953 in Oakland, CA to parents John and Mary. She spent her early years in Oakland and moved to San Leandro where she graduated from Pacific High School in 1971. It was there where she fell in love with Rick and they got married on June 9, 1973. The beginning of their marriage was spent in Union City where they welcomed their son Ryan. They then moved to Pleasanton where they had their daughter Lindsey. Cathy resided in Pleasanton for 38 years up until her death.

Cathy devoted her time and attention to her family. When it came to Ryan and Lindsey, she never missed a sporting event, school field trip, or special moment in their lives.

Her greatest fans called her “Grammy.” She loved every moment spent with her grandchildren Brayden, Zoe, Addison, and Emerson and never missed an opportunity to spoil them.

Cathy worked as both a municipal and superior court clerk in Hayward and Pleasanton. In her retirement she enjoyed playing slot machines at the casino, trips to Capitola with Rick, seeing Broadway musicals, and lunch dates with her friends. She also enjoyed her daily cup of Cafe Vienna.

She was preceded in death by her parents John and Mary, stepfather Mickey Cusumano, sister Mary Lou Derieg, uncles Charles and Martin Perlando, and aunt Lahoma Perlando.

She is survived by her husband Rick of 49 years, son Ryan Templeman and his wife Toni-Ann, daughter Lindsey Rearick and her husband Nathan, and grandchildren Brayden, Zoe, Addison, and Emerson. She was a loving sister to Judy Clavin and a wonderful aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to a service on Friday, June 24th at 10:30 A.M. at St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church, 4001 Stoneridge Drive in Pleasanton. Per Alameda County COVID-19 guidelines, masks will be required indoors.

In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Scleroderma Research Foundation (https://srfcure.org/).
