Douglas Arthur Bosma

Douglas was born on a dairy farm in Mille Lacs County, Minnesota, the son of Helen (Light) Bosma and Ed Bosma. He graduated from Milaca High School in 1956. Dong was an excellent athlete, a good student and loved vocal music. He attended Northland College, Ashland, WI from 1956 – 1958. It was there he met his wife, Patricia Uspel. Doug graduated from St. Cloud State college in 1960, with a teaching degree. In 1964 he and Patricia were married at St. Mary’s church, Tomahawk, WI. The couple had 5 children; Peter, Elizabeth (Handrage), married to Christopher, son Colin: Mary, mother of Malcolm and Hunter Abdul-Wajid: Timothy, married to Jennifer Honer, daughters Amanda, Hannah, Samantha: Sara married to Jared Schucha. Friends and family are invited to a Memorial Mass at St. Augustine’s Church (3999 Bernal Ave, Pleasanton, Ca 94566) on Nov. 11th at 10:00 a.m. A reception will follow in the church hall.
