Edward Patrick Shannon Jr., 84, passed away peacefully on March 31, 2025, in Pleasanton, California, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Jamestown, California, Edward lived a life defined by devotion—to his family, to his country, and to the simple joys that brought him happiness. He served honorably in the Air Force Reserve, reflecting a steadfast sense of duty and patriotism that remained with him throughout his life.
Edward’s greatest pride was his family. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother. He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Wilma Shannon; his son, Edward Shannon; and his daughter, Denise Disbrow. His legacy lives on through his grandchildren—Brandon (Rachel), Taylor, Bryce (Alyssa), and Carli Disbrow—and great-grandchildren, Jordan and Elijah Disbrow. He is also survived by his brother, Michael (Chris) Shannon, and nephew, Sean Shannon.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Mary Shannon.
A man of quiet passions and thoughtful craftsmanship, Edward found joy in restoring and driving Model A cars—a hobby that combined his love of history, hands-on work, and timeless beauty. He also cherished time spent boating and visiting Oregon, always finding peace in nature and the water.
Edward's warmth, humor, and steady presence touched everyone who knew him. Whether sharing stories, fixing something with care, or simply sitting with loved ones, he made the everyday moments count.
May Edward’s memory be a source of comfort and inspiration, and may his legacy of love and quiet strength continue in the hearts of all who knew him.
