Forrest Sass
1950-Jan. 1, 2025
Pleasanton, California

Forrest Sass, known for his deep devotion to family, faith, and his community, passed away in Pleasanton, California, on January 1, 2025. He was treasured by family and friends alike, and left behind a legacy of love, thoughtful guidance, and integrity.

Born and raised in Alameda, California, Forrest carried the values of his upbringing with him throughout his life. A proud graduate of Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, he went on to build a fulfilling career in electronics engineering—a field that satisfied both his inventive spirit and quiet intelligence.

He spent most of his adult years in Pleasanton, where he became an integral part of the community. He led Boy Scout troops in Sunol, piloted small planes out of Livermore airport, and sang with the East Bay Broadway Chorus. He was a dedicated member of First Church of Christ, Scientist in Livermore, a familiar face at the Pleasanton farmers market, and never missed the Alameda County Fair.

Forrest was a man of many talents and boundless curiosity: an engineer, entrepreneur, inventor, businessman, musician, and mentor. He approached every endeavor with principle and perseverance.

Forrest was a unique soul, known for his routines and cherished habits that endeared him to all who knew him. As a friend, he was the most steadfast and loyal companion one could ask for. He embodied the true essence of a Christian, living his values through kindness, selflessness, and quiet acts of goodness.

Above all, Forrest was devoted to his family. He took immense pride in his children and grandchild and cherished his role in their lives. His presence brought warmth and laughter, and his absence leaves a void that words cannot fill.

His memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him, in the lives he touched, and in the countless stories of his generosity, humor, and ever-present support.

May he rest in peace, knowing he was deeply loved and will never be forgotten.
