Beloved wife of 57 years of Donald A. Landsittel, cherished mother of Adrienne (Steve) Kirin and Laura (Joe) Pearce. Loving grandmother of Logan, Heath and Claire.

Jode was the daughter of the late James F. Best and late Janice E. Best and sister of late Marcia Maitland, late James (Rusty) Best, Janice E. Best, Fredrick (Karin) Best, Michael (Maun) Best, David (Debbie) Best and Mary (Mark) Gentile. Sister-in-law of late David (late Marie) Landsittel, Peggy (David) D’Amato, Rebecca (late Stephen) Dackson and Shirley Mae Landsittel.

Jode was one of eight children who grew up on Buffalo Street in the Village of Hamburg, NY. She married Don on January 7, 1967. They lived in many areas of the country and spent more than 30 years in Pleasanton, CA before moving to Sacramento, CA to be near their children and grandchildren. Jode was never afraid to try different challenges ending her many educational endeavors and careers as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She enjoyed the many exchange students they hosted and especially spending time with grandchildren and online bantering with family following the highs and lows of the Buffalo Bills.
