One Year Ago, Joyce J. Oxsen, 82, a 65 year resident of Pleasanton/Livermore area, passed away May 21, 2016. She was born on July 3, 1933 in Topeka, Kansas. Joyce graduated from Hayward High in 1951. It was this same year she met Ret. Pleasanton Reserve Police Officer and Good Samaritan, Ernest R. Oxsen and began her long and rewarding life in Pleasanton. She was a beloved and long time volunteer and employee for the Pleasanton Senior Center, newspaper, and VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed playing golf, travelling and anything community service related. She is survived by her son in law and daughter, Tim and Cynthia Schane of Manteca, Ca; 4 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren. Joyce Loved Pleasanton and devoted her life to its service. She will always be greatly appreciated and missed.
