Nathan Joseph Buller, 15, of Mooresville, NC passed away on Sunday, October 9, 2016.

He was born in Springfield, MO, on October 12, 2000 to Andrew "Andy" Joseph and Amelia "Amy" Smathers Buller. Nathan was a sophomore at Lake Norman High School.

Nathan was happiest with a fishing pole on the water. He was a masterful fisherman at Lake Norman and at the Coast. Nathan had an adventurous nature and a true zest for life. He was always kind and polite with a sparking smile that would light up a room. Nathan filled the lives of those that knew him with love, light and laughter. He was truly a happy soul. Nathan faced life as a gift but little did he know that he was the gift. He left footprints on this earth that can never be filled.

In addition to his parents, Andy and Amy, Nathan is survived by his sisters, Calleigh Lindler Buller and Madeline Stella Buller both of the home; maternal grandparents, Joseph Fleetwood Smathers of Raleigh, NC, Barbara Ann Smathers of Canton, NC; paternal grandparents, Jimmy Vern Buller of Parson, KS, Betty Jane Buller of Mooresville, NC; uncles, Tim Buller (Bethany) of Houston, TX, Chance Buller of Parsons, KS and Josh Smathers of Canton, NC.
