Raju Singh
July 25, 1963-Nov. 10, 2025
Pleasanton, California

Raju Singh passed away on November 10th at home, surrounded by his family. Raju was born in Jaipur, India, on July 25, 1963, to Daljeet Singh and Joginder Kaur. They moved to San Francisco in 1967, where he lived for 40 years before moving to Pleasanton.

Growing up, Raju was always involved with sports. He played baseball, tennis, and basketball, and ran cross country. He was an avid and lifelong fan of the Warriors, the 49ers, and the Giants. He took immense pride in being an older brother to his sister, Kiran, and his brother, Sajjy. He worked for 25 years at his family’s store, Daljeet’s, an alternative shoe and clothing shop known for thigh-high boots and leather everything.

He graduated from Lincoln High School in 1981. His next chapter started at UC Berkeley, where he studied Rhetoric and met his soulmate, Lisa. Though it took 11 years, the two married on September 17, 1994. Lisa worked in Human Resources, and Raju continued to work at Daljeet’s, managing the warehouse and retail-wholesale stores. Raju and Lisa welcomed their first child, Jordan, in 1997. Their second son, Ryan, was born in 2000. In 2002, Raju put off his aspirations of becoming a lawyer and transitioned into a stay-at-home dad. The next year, their daughter Rachel was born. Raju dedicated his life to his family; he went to every game, shuttled his children to every practice, and you’d never see him without his camera. Raju loved deeply and wholeheartedly. He was silly but intelligent and sensitive. He filled the house with music, always happy to share the artists he grew up loving with his kids. He was the heart of our family.

He is survived by his wife Lisa; his mother Joginder; his brother Sajjy and sister-in-law Michele; his sister-in-law Vicki; his brother-in-law Mark; his son Jordan and daughter-in-law Kathleen; his son Ryan; and his daughter Rachel. He joins his father Daljeet, sister Kiran, and uncle Gurmeet in Heaven. His humor, resilience, and love will remain with us forever in our hearts.

A celebration of life will be held on December 6th at 11 am at Trinity Lutheran Church in Pleasanton. A reception will follow immediately after at the same location.
