Ralph Ellis Marsh of Larkspur, CO, passed away on March 1, 2026, at age 81.
Ralph was born in Oakland, California, to Martha and Ralph Ellis Marsh. He was the eldest of three sons. During high school, Ralph played varsity football, which manifested in a lifelong love for the sport. After high school, Ralph enlisted in the Marine Corps, where he served from 1962 to 1966. After the Marine Corps, Ralph spent 35 years with the Federal Aviation Administration, where he worked as a manager for many years.
Throughout his life, Ralph remained dedicated to his community. Ralph served as the Director of Volunteering at Moreau Catholic High School in Hayward, California. While in Las Vegas, Ralph worked on the Use of Force Committee, partnering with the mayor in his years in the group. He also served as the HOA president while in Las Vegas. When he moved to Colorado, Ralph served on the house committee at the Perry Park Country Club.
The greatest joy in his life began when he met his wife, Kathy, when she was a receptionist under Martha. Ralph and Kathy married on August 26, 1967. Their daughter Michelle was born in 1976. Ralph was the greatest husband, father, and grandfather. He was an incredible cook, and his pizza nights and alphabet pancakes will be forever missed by his granddaughters. Ralph was a NASCAR instructor for the Las Vegas Race Experience. He loved traveling, especially with his family. Ralph was also an avid wine enthusiast, establishing his own label, Marsh Cellars, in the 1980s. Ralph is remembered for being kind, generous, responsible, sarcastic, and truly committed to his family.
Ralph is survived by his devoted wife of 58 years, Kathy Marsh; his daughter, Michelle Marsh Garcia; his three granddaughters, Ainslee, Kaylin, and Marissa Garcia; and his brother, Karl Marsh. He was preceded in death by his parents, Martha and Ralph Ellis Marsh, and his brother, Donald Marsh.
