Tom Wolfenberger
June 1, 1967-July 13, 2025
Pine Grove, California

Tom was born on June 1, 1967 at Valley Memorial Hospital in Livermore California, to Elizabeth and Joe Wolfenberger and grew up in Pleasanton California. Tom played soccer and baseball in Pleasanton and pre high school had a paper route for the Valley Times. While attending Amador Valley High School, he worked at Meadowlark Dairy, The Pleasanton Sports Park and Mobil gas station, he also was a roadie for his friends’ band Tyrannicide. Tom graduated from Amador Valley High School in 1986 and attended Las Positas Jr College with an interest in Forestry, while working for Pleasanton Garbage before becoming a union carpenter.

Tom passed away on July 13, 2025, peacefully from natural causes. He is survived by his parents, Elizabeth and Joe Wolfenberger, his sister Gena, his brother Barry and his two sons Tommy and Timmy as well as a niece, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Outside of work, Tom loved the outdoors and was an avid fisherman. His sister, nephew and sons are among the many that learned and caught their first fish with Tom. He was knowledgeable and patient and so excited and proud for them when they hauled in their first fish. He spent many opening weekends and days fishing at Pardee Reservoir growing up and into adulthood. In recent years he started participating in fishing tournaments with his son, brother and friends. Tom was happiest with a fishing rod in hand but also loved anything outdoors and was passionate about sustainment of both.

In lieu of flowers we ask that you honor Tom’s memory by simply thinking of him each time you are enjoying the outdoors and/or fishing.
