William “Gene” Eccher a long time resident of Pleasanton, passed away peacefully on April 11, 2016. He was born in Burke, Idaho and grew up in the Denver and gold country areas of Colorado. He and his family moved to Pleasanton in 1969. He is survived by his daughter, Mary K. Eccher, her husband Walter Molz of El Dorado Hills Ca., and his granddaughter Jill A. Bond, her husband Alex, and his great grandson Miles L. Bond. He was preceded in death by his wife Florence and son James in 2009. Family and friends are invited to celebrate a mass at the chapel of St. Elizabeth Seton’s Catholic Church in Pleasanton, on Thursday May 26, 2016 at 10 am, and will be followed by a lunch reception at the same location.
