Lasting Memories

Jason Vitalicia Comendador
May 25, 1972-Dec. 11, 2017
Pleasanton, CA

Jason ‘Jay’ Vitalicia Comendador passed away on December 11th, 2017 in Walnut Creek, CA due to complications from his battle with kidney disease. He was 45.

Born on May 25, 1972 in Oakland, CA, Jay was the only child of Jaime and Teresita (Vitalicia) Comendador, who both predeceased him. The lifelong Bay Area resident was a 1990 graduate of Amador Valley High School in Pleasanton, CA; where he lived the majority of his life and maintained decades long friendships.

Jay touched the lives of his many coworkers and customers from his professional positions. From his early years selling electronics at GoodGuys and Computer City, to doing on-air promotions at 92.7 dance radio as his alter-ego ‘Munch’, to taking care of his customers at Peet’s Coffee, Bittersweet Cafe, and Raley’s Supermarket. In his free time, Jay pursued his many passions in life, from music, digital photography and videography, to cooking and baking, to European performance vehicles. His greatest passion however, was his English Bulldog, Bella and his San Jose Sharks; cheering them on since their inception in 1991.

At Jay’s request, there will be no funeral services prior to his cremation. He wished instead to be remembered as he lived. A celebration of his life will be held at 1pm on January 15, 2018 at Gay 90’s Pizza in Pleasanton.
