Lasting Memories

Joseph Howard Gordon
Jan. 10, 1958-July 4, 2021
Pleasanton, California

On the 4th of July the world lost a great man. Joe Gordon of Pleasanton, Ca passed away unexpectedly from health complications at 63 years young. He leaves behind his two children Dan Gordon and Sarah Ewing (Jay), their mother Judy Gordon, his grandson Daniel Gordon, sisters Julie Sheikh (Junaid) and Judy Franceschi (Vince), brother Jim Gordon (Maura), his loving mother Jayne Gordon, and a whole community of friends that were as close as family.

Joe grew up in Fremont, Ca. He attended Holy Spirit Catholic School, Washington High School, and San Jose State University, where he formed many lifelong friendships and gathered great stories of which he would later go on to entertain us all with the tales of. Joe spent most of his working career as a realtor serving Fremont and the Tri-Valley for over 35 years. Along with real estate he worked at the Alameda County Supervisors Office serving his community. In his free time he loved a good golf game and going to the horse races at the fair. The family knows he would have been honored that his friends had a race dedicated to him last weekend.

Joe was the man you could count on and was always there to help out his friends and family. His daughter lovingly called him The Mayor because he was well known everywhere he went. Joe had an amazing quality of making everyone feel special and was always there to listen. We will never forget his silly sayings, incredible ability to remember birthdays, the nicknames he gave everyone and his kind heart.

There will be a celebration of life at a later date to be announced.
