Joyce Lee Mabry was born to Ollie and Mamie Mabry in Fresno, California along with her twin Eddie Marie Mabry, they were the youngest of five sisters including Pauline Lucille, Dorothy Oleta, and Vivian Ruth Mabry. The Mabry family moved across California for a good portion of the girls’ childhood to end up in Concord, California. After her first marriage ended, Joyce was introduced to Daniel Paul Soria, the man who would become the love of her life. They married July 1st, 1964. Joyce embraced Daniel’s children, Greg Paul Soria, and Luanna Marie Soria as her own, and they began to grow their family further with the adoption of their son Daniel Joseph “Pepe” Soria, and the birth of Melissa Ann Soria. The Soria family settled in Pleasanton, California, where they purchased the family home which saw the birth of 2 more generations.

Known to those closest to her as Jojo, or Aunt Jojo, she was “Mom” to the whole neighborhood, and everyone’s “Grammy.” Joyce lived a long and happy life, devoted to her family. You could often find her sewing or crocheting a beautiful gift for someone she loved. To Joyce, family was by no means limited to biological relatives. Her heart and kindness extended to many, especially friends of her children and grandchildren. She made the Soria household a safe and fun place to gather during the good times and bad. She is survived by her four children, Greg, Luanna, Daniel, and Melissa, her ten Grandchildren, and now eleven great-grandchildren, the youngest of whom was born April 27th, 2022.

At the family home we celebrate the life of Joyce, and reunion with her beloved Daniel. Grammy and Papa together again.
