Our mother, Marilyn, died on Thursday morning in Tracy, California. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
Marilyn was a Registered Nurse for over 35 years and loved working in surgery, the recovery room and same day surgery. In the 1990’s she began a second career working for Costco.
She was married for 20 years to her sweetheart, Richard (Dick) Heinzel, who predeceased her in 1979. Marilyn has three children, Elaine Eiden and her husband Rick of Tracy, Susan Cahill and her husband Tom of Santa Clarita, Ca. and Tim Heinzel and his wife Barbara also of Santa Clarita, Ca.
Marilyn also has four grandchildren, Thomas and Caitlin Cahill and Ashley and Jennifer Heinzel.
She is also survived by her sister Joan McCusker of Benicia, and her niece Carrie (Keith) Smith, her great-niece Peyton, and her nephew Michael Gravelle and was predeceased by her brother Jim McCusker and her parents James and Mary McCusker.
She will always be missed by those who love her.

I was a volunteer at Valley Memorial when Marilyn was a nurse there.It was in same day surgery, recovery room etc.I loved working with her and her great sense of humor. I think she moved to Southern California. The nest time I saw her was indeed at Costco and she remembered me to my great surprise.Sad to hear of her passing.
