Stephen “Sully” Michael Sullivan was born May 23,1958 in San Jose, CA to Stanley and Irene Sullivan. Steve grew up in Livermore, CA and attended Granada High School where he may still hold the school record for pole vaulting. A natural athlete, Steve especially enjoyed cycling and the outdoors, but his true love was always rock ’n’ roll. When he wasn’t attending concerts, Steve built a career for himself primarily at Orchard Supply Hardware where he worked for over 30 years. During his adult life, Steve raised 4 children: Daniel Sullivan, Kathleen Sullivan, John Sullivan, and Shane Sullivan. Steve’s home was always filled with his laughter, music, award-winning BBQ chicken wings, and the SF Giants or 49ers. Steve is survived by his wife, Melody Whicher Sullivan; his 4 children; his mother, Irene Sullivan; 3 step-daughters, Brittany Whicher, Jessica Whicher, and Ashley Whicher; his older sister, Linda Attebery (m. Michael Attebery); his younger sister, Theresa Horton (m. Jerry Horton); and his 4 nieces, Andrea Attebery, Beth Attebery, Sara Horton, and Caitlyn Horton. A Celebration of Life for Sully will be held on Sunday, January 26, 2020 at The Livermore-Pleasanton Elks Lodge in Livermore, CA at 2pm. 940 Larkspur Drive, Livermore, CA 94551.
